Healthy me!

2 weeks ago, I was at the doctor's office getting my yearly checkup, which ended with some laboratory tests that I picked today.

Of all the tests, the only one who I never took it before was the glucose ... and I would not recommend to anyone!
I had to get up super early to be in the lab at 7am to be 4 hours fasting with only one juice that you get at the beginning of the test.
If you love the sugar you're ok, but if you don't [like me] the juice is similar to take your medicine! And with an empty stomach, it drop too heavy. I ended up with a nausea that lasted me the first 3hrs and hungry at the end. So because I was a brave good girl, I ended up giving me a reward eating at Pizza Hut. = D

Mmm Dunkers!

Today the Red Cross was collecting blood donations at the main library at my university, which is great. Many people, like me, are willing to help with this cause and some do not know that where are the places to go, so bring these options to college is very effective.

Since high school I wanted to donate blood, but for my underweight never let me. So I had the opportunity last year to keep my weight stable and donate my first pint of blood.

At first I was excited! But when you walk into the room, these emotions become fears. LOL After reading my hemoglobin level 2 times, they left me donate. Despite the shock of it at the first time, all happened pretty well, talking and joking with other donors as they sucked our blood.

Many who started after me left first, seeing how they took out the last tubes of blood and stored in a refrigerator, which made me think, but do not worry. Up until the time when they are finishing up with me, I don't look anything until the end when I see a bag filled with blood from my vein, so I ended so dizzy like never before!
LOL never thought that see my own blood will affect me that way. So after that, they ended with me but don't let me leave until after 1 hr ...
I decided at that moment would never donate blood unless someone with me.

Which brings us to today, when I can't go to give blood because I have no one to be with me when I finish fainted... again. LOL

I'll have to wait until next semester.

Requirements for blood donor:
Weight: 110 lbs or +
Hemoglobin: 13 or +
Donate blood! For each donation can save 3 lives!
