Well, as the title said, I a newbie willing to learn about the experiences of all those wonderful women here that make the decision of Go Natural; the tips and tricks of each step and someday make the decision to take the Journey too.
So there are so many reasons out there of why each day more women began there trip and did the BIG CHOP or Transitioning. Damage, Dryness, Breakage, Burned Scalp, Unhealthy Hair. But I can honestly say... I always have a very healthy looking relaxed hair. Sometimes it looks like damaged, but it's my fault for no taking good care of it.
Picture of my last relaxer in latest June.
The reason that my hair is so short now is because I always want to try a new style, but I never had the courage to do it, until I find a hairstyle that I really loved it... and did it!
Then... "why you want to go natural?" you may ask.
FOR CURIOSITY!
You may not believe this, but I don't have A CLUE of what kind of texture is my real hair!! The first time my mom gave me a relaxer, I was 11 years old, and until now I still relax my hair. Pictures of me as a little girl?? Sadly, they all became lost in the last moved that we made. And try to identify it in my new growth is more harder that it sounds.
So... that's why I'm thinking and re-thinking so much about this decision, because isn't easy to make! I'm thankful that I have a wonderful boyfriend that support me to do THE BIG CHOP, even looked for hairstyle that he love to see on me!! That kind of gesture made me a little more brave to do it.
I'm now 3 [almost 4] month post-relaxed. Next week I'll post a photo of my new growth. Maybe you can help me to identify what kind of texture is. For now, I'll let you see some pictures of my hair in the past and how long it was. Thank you for read my post and sorry for my bad english.
